Why We Built This Reference
Old printed directories faded from regular publication, yet many of their source trails remain. Cook and Will County offices divide property and court work, Illinois law controls voter access, and the library and state archives preserve older material. We bring the search links, office contacts, known coverage dates, and access limits together for Tinley Park researchers.
What the Directory Contains
- Pages by angle: the street directory (address-keyed records), the city directory (the historical shelf), and the resident lookup (one-person searches)
- The rolls and offices: assessor, recorder, elections office, court clerk, vital records, the library's local history collection
- Walkthroughs: how to trace who lives on a street, how to read a directory entry, how to follow a household across the decades
- Access rules: what Illinois law opens, what stays closed, and how a records request works when something is not online
Limits on Our Role
This is a privately run reference site. It is not connected with Tinley Park, either county, Illinois, any court, or any library. Those boundaries mean:
- We cannot confirm whether a specific person currently lives in Tinley Park
- We cannot pull, certify, or change any record on your behalf
- We cannot add anyone to, or remove anyone from, any roll or database
- We cannot give legal advice about a record or a dispute
- We cannot promise that every coverage year, link, or office detail here is current at this moment
Only the custodian office can confirm, certify, or correct a record. Nothing found through this site may be used for credit, employment, tenant, or insurance decisions.
